Downtown Businesses

Downtown businesses on Main Street and Sinclair Lewis Avenue are invited to be part of the Sauk Centre Festival of the Arts by having their front windows painted by local artists! 

This is a fun, eye-catching way to bring festival energy right to your storefront, attract visitors, create photo opportunities, and show your support for local creativity. 

The plan: Businesses will be paired with an artist, and window designs will be approved by you before painting begins. We are supplying artists with everything they need, so you don't have to worry about a thing. Artists will paint live during the festival, bringing their friends, family, supporters, and fans downtown to see the work in progress. 

The paintings can be left up for a few months for visitors and locals alike to continue to have a great reason to visit, photograph your storefront, post on their social media, and continue spreading the word about our great downtown businesses! The paintings can be washed off at your convenience. We use paint that will wash off (we'll give you instructions), so it's your choice when you want to move on.

It’s a win for artists, businesses, the community, and a beautiful way to make downtown Sauk Centre part of the festival experience.

During the Festival, some businesses are choosing to do their own promotions, giveaways, candy, or setting out a table of information if their business is normally closed on weekends.

(The Festival is also a great way to continue to keep downtown businesses in the minds of folks, so when road construction starts, they will still remember where to go for a good burger, clothes, insurance, or (insert your business here).
