Every summer, the streets of Sauk Centre transform into a living canvas.

The Sauk Centre Festival of the Arts is a free, two-day celebration of creativity featuring live chalk art, regional artist vendors, music, food, and interactive art experiences for all ages.

Join us August 29–30, 2026 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. along Park Road and throughout Sinclair Lewis Park as professional chalk artists create stunning large-scale works right on the pavement. Watch the artwork emerge in real time, explore booths filled with handmade art from talented Midwest artists, enjoy local food trucks, and experience the vibrant creative spirit of Sauk Centre.

This year’s festival features internationally recognized chalk artist Shawn McCann, along with a lineup of incredible artists from across the region.

Visitors can also participate in our giant community mandala, enjoy the children’s chalk area, explore the poetry walk and mural tour, and discover something new around every corner.

Whether you come to watch the chalk art come to life, find a one-of-a-kind handmade piece, or simply spend a beautiful weekend surrounded by art, the Sauk Centre Festival of the Arts has something for everyone.
